Ken starts our new series, Invite and Serve. He looks at the tight connection between faith, hospitality and people being saved in the Bible and it’s implications for our engaging today.

This sermon caused some confusion about Ken’s use of the First Epistle of Clement. Ken used this extra biblical material to illustrate how the 1st century church had a differing view of faith and hospitality than our modern world, a view that challenges some of the weaknesses of our modern culture.

Some feedback was given that the use of Clement detracted from the point of the sermon being: biblical faith impacts our actions even to the point of taking the risk to invite strangers into our lives, so they can become friends. For this confusion and lack of clarity Ken sincerely apologizes, as can be heard at the beginning of the next podcast.
